Lead Pastor
Bill Reinhart
PastorBill@buffaloumc.com
(763) 682-3538, Ext 2
What do you do here at Buffalo UMC?
As an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, my main responsibilities as Lead Pastor are:
  • Teach and preach the Word of God;
  • Provide pastoral care;
  • Administer the sacraments of Baptism and Communion; and
  • Order the life of our church for service in mission and ministry.
Practically speaking, that means I spend most of my time and energy preparing to lead worship on Sundays, lead Confirmation classes on Wednesday nights, coordinate and plan with church staff and other ministry leaders throughout each week, and offer pastoral care such as hospital visits when needed.

When did you begin working at Buffalo UMC?
I was appointed to Buffalo UMC by Bishop Bruce Ough effective July 1, 2014. Prior to this appointment I served Coon Rapids UMC for 11 years.

What is your favorite part of working here?
I love working with gifted and committed leaders (both staff and lay leaders) who consistently go above and beyond to offer the grace of Jesus Christ to a hurting and broken world. My biggest joy in ministry is seeing someone open their heart to Christ in a new way.

Do you have a family?
I'm married to Dr. Jana Reinhart, a Licensed Psychologist with a specialty in Health Psychology. We have two adult children, Wes and Carolyn,

Where did you go to school?
I graduated from: Augsburg College (1985) with a BA in Psychology; Virginia Tech (1990) with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering; Asbury Seminary (2002) with an MDiv.

 Nursery Attendant
Angela Masteller
Ministry Description
  • Provide a safe Christian environment for children ages 0-5 to explore fellowship with other children, while parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and caregivers worship.
  • Provide the children with a consistent care giver to bond with (me!), and a predictable routine each week.
  • Welcome older children/teens who wish to volunteer their services.

Each one hour segment is broken down into 45 minutes of free play time and about 15 minutes of circle time. We have blocks, trucks, books, stuffed animals, art projects, toy houses, puzzles and other wonderful toys for children to explore. After free play time, we all clean up the nursery together and spend time sitting as a group sharing stories, singing songs and blowing bubbles.

There is no pre-registration required.  Caregivers are always welcome to stay and play with their children for as long as they wish. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
